Background Non-communicable diseases (NCDs) impose substantial population burden. Their polygenic architecture informs early risk stratification through polygenic risk scores (PRS). Previous studies reported elevated-PRS burden comparable to some modifiable risk factors (MRFs), yet evidence remains confined to European populations.
