Background: Non-optimal air temperature increases the risk of preterm birth, but how temperature-related risks may translate into future population burden remains uncertain. We aimed to estimate the association between temperature and preterm birth in Sweden and assess how preterm birth burden may change under plausible future temperature conditions.
