Background: Software tools can support MRI diagnosis of focal cortical dysplasias (FCDs) - subtle, surgically-treatable lesions that underlie drug-resistant focal epilepsy (DRFE). MELD-graph, a widely used open-source tool combining surface-based morphometry with a convolutional neural network, was developed using 1.5T and 3T MRI data. 7T MRI is increasingly used for lesion detection in DRFE.
