Background. Tuberculosis preventive treatment (TPT) with levofloxacin reduces tuberculosis disease incidence in multidrug-resistant or rifampicin-resistant (MDR/RR)-tuberculosis household contacts. However, with age, disease progression risk falls and the frequency of adverse events (AE) rises. Methods.
